POST-BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM

This 9-month studio program offers students who have finished their undergraduate work the opportunity to build their portfolio in preparation for graduate school or to continue their professional development. Graduates often lack adequate studio space, supportive communities and the professional mentoring that can help them successfully move forward. The NYCAMS program offers appropriate studio space, a structured and challenging environment, as well as support and critical interaction. This is a program for talented and self-motivated young artists who want a professional future in the visual arts.

Each Post-Baccalaureate fellow will have the opportunity to:
• Be mentored by a NYCAMS faculty member.
• Use NYCAMS studio space and technical equipment.
• Participate in all courses and lectures held at NYCAMS.
• Exhibit their work in a special gallery exhibit.
• Receive advice from art faculty on preparing graduate school applications and portfolio.

The program runs September through May and students will work in the NYCAMS studio in Chelsea.
