02 / Programs
NYCAMS is a program of Bethel University and offers a faith-based art education in the heart of New York City. All NYCAMS programs are led by New York-based artists and art historians and benefit from being located in the heart of Manhattan where students can regularly interact with the art world.
SEMESTER ART RESIDENCY PROGRAM
NYCAMS offers a 16-credit, one-semester undergrad residency program in the fall and the spring. The program includes an internship and culminates in a student exhibition.
SEMESTER WRITING RESIDENCY PROGRAM
NYCAMS writing students immerse themselves in the unique opportunities
that New York City affords as they live, study, and intern in the
publishing and news capital of the world. This program provides an
academically challenging and structured environment where young writers
encounter trends in journalism and publishing, and learn how to engage
the culture through their faith and creativity.
POST-BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM
This 9-month
studio program offers students who have finished their undergraduate
work the opportunity to build their portfolio in preparation for
graduate school or to continue their professional development. This is
a program for talented and self-motivated young artists who want a
professional future in the visual arts.
EMERGING CURATOR FELLOWSHIP
Each year the
NYCAMS Advisory Board will select three emerging curators each academic
year that submit strong and important visions.
