NYCAMS Advisory Board Members 2009
The NYCAMS Advisory Board was founded in 2006 to support the many extra-curricular programs we offer and to extend the influence of our program into the art community. The eight advisory board members were chosen for their expertise, which represents specific aspects of the art world: museum curators, contemporary projects curator, visual artists, collectors, financial experts, gallery directors, photographers/filmmakers, and art historians.
The NYCAMS Advisory Board shares our vision of mentoring young artists of faith and encouraging a new generation of artists to enter the art world, particularly those who will be leaders and innovators. They provide support to the student body by curating student exhibitions, speaking as guest lecturers, providing critique, and forming our Emerging Curator Fellowship curate exhibitions in the gallery. In June 2008 Donata Wenders curated our second NYCAMS Alumni exhibition at the Galerie Kollaborativ in Berlin.
